FREMONT, Nebraska (AP) — A U.S. school district in the state of Nebraska has banned a necklace that looks like a rosary after police told officials it's also being worn by gang members.
Fremont Superintendent Steve Sexton told KETV-TV (http://bit.ly/pMan3Z ) the policy is to protect students. He says police told school leaders the necklace is being used as a symbol of gang affiliation.
