NSW:Man arrested in US over fake bomb case

EDS: Updates age of arrested man on police advice



SYDNEY, Aug 16 AAP - Police will on Tuesday morning reveal details about the arrest
of an Australian man in the United States in connection with the collar bomb threat on
Sydney schoolgirl Madeleine Pulver.

Police have confirmed that detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squads Strike
Force Haddon arrested a 51-year-old man at Louisville in Kentucky at about 5.45am (AEST)
on Tuesday.

They were assisted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The man, who is an Australian citizen, remains in custody and it is expected that detectives
will apply for his extradition to Australia when he faces court, police said.
