Fed: Fast food companies under pressure on deadly fats

Fast-food companies are being warned to commit to reducing dangerous trans fats in
their cooking .. or the government will force their hand.

Assistant Health Minister CHRISTOPHER PYNE has summoned major fast-food companies to
a meeting in Sydney next month to pressure them over the health issue.

Mr PYNE says companies including McDonalds .. KFC .. Krispy Kreme .. Pizza Hut and
Hungry Jack's have been invited to the March 12 summit.

He says he'll raise the possibility at the meeting of forcing companies to list trans
fat content on labelling.
